Minneapolis, MN - Team Vermont had an incredible day at the 2026 USA Games, bringing home our first medals of the week with outstanding performances in Swimming and Athletics. Congratulations to Colleen Duffy, Daniel Goodrow, Hazel Rakowski, Lindsay Arthurs, and Rici Goldstein Perdue for representing Vermont with determination, heart, and championship-level performances.
On the basketball court, Vermont's Unified Basketball team battled Delaware in a thrilling back-and-forth contest. Despite falling just short, 35-32, Team Vermont never backed down. The game remained tight from start to finish, with our athletes showing resilience, teamwork, and grit every step of the way. While the result didn't go our way, the effort and determination on display made Vermont proud!
We're just getting started! More Swimming and Athletics preliminaries and finals are still ahead, and tomorrow our Unified Basketball team takes the court against Missouri as they continue their incredible USA Games journey!
