State of Inclusion Conference



Special Olympics Vermont will host its annual conference November 10-12 at the Taconic Hotel in Manchester, VT. Registration is complimentary for all attendees and meals are included. Please see below for agenda information and to register. 


For Schools


State of Inclusion: Building partnerships for lifelong transitions and youth engagement. 

Educators, students, and administrators are invited to join partners from across the state to learn strategies for easing transitions through school and into the community. We will work together to empower youth with and without intellectual disabilities to be leaders in improving school climates and building inclusive communities.


For Community Programs

 Special Olympics Vermont welcomes Local Program management team members and coaches to the 2017 State of Inclusion conference. Based on the survey from the 2017 conference, topics will include:

  1. Volunteer and coach recruitment

  2. Addressing special health and behavioral needs

  3. Financing a program and fundraising

  4. Managing Community Program growth

  5. Introducing new sports

  6. Sports rules, divisioning, Unified models

  7. Building partnerships with school programs

  8. Program expense guidelines.
