It’s Penguin Plunge Season!

Here at Special Olympics Vermont, the New Year always begins with an icy dip in the lake. We look forward to joining more than 1,200 people representing schools, businesses, families, sports teams, and more, in taking the Plunge to support Special Olympics Vermont athletes. Here's how you can get involved!

Rally your Penguin Plunge team

Everyone wants to try the Penguin Plunge at least once, they just need your encouragement. A little friendly competition can go a long way! Challenge your class, your school, your company, your family, your sports team, your community group, your friends from college, to join you in taking the Plunge and supporting Special Olympics Vermont.

Register for the Penguin Plunge

Special Olympics Vermont is hosting Penguin Plunge events on Saturday, February 4 at Burlington Waterfront park, and Saturday, March 25 at Stratton Mountain. We hope you will join us for one or all of these events! More information and registration can be found at PenguinPlunge.org. Have questions? Please contact Sasha Fisher

Set up your personal fundraising page

When you participate in the Penguin Plunge, you are supporting Special Olympics Vermont to provide opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities to be physically active, train and compete year-round, build meaningful friendships, access health screenings, and become leaders in our community.

Start Fundraising

Reach out to your network in person, on social media, and via email to gather donations. To participate, Plungers must raise a minimum of $150 in Burlington or $100 in Stratton. Plungers who raise $500 or more are eligible for awesome prizes from local businesses like Darn Tough, Turtle Fur, the Hilton, Hotel Vermont, and the Outdoor Gear Exchange!
