Special Olympics Vermont is part of a global movement
WORKING TO FOSTER THE INCLUSION AND ACCEPTANCE OF INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES
by using the power of sport to showcase their gifts and abilities.
Training to achieve their very best.
Special Olympics is the largest amatuer sports organization in the world and our athletes are at the heart of it. Our athletes are children and adults with intellectual disabilities who are finding success, joy, and friendship as part of our community. Through sport, our athletes see themselves for their abilities, not their disabilities.
SPORT
Changing the way we interact with health systems.
Special Olympics is the largest global public health organization dedicated to serving people with intellectual disabilities. Healthy Athletes provides health screenings in dentistry, optometry, audiology, and physical therapy to Special Olympics Vermont athletes at no cost.
HEALTH
Inspiring each other, we're better together.
Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Our athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment—on the playing field and in life. They also inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential.
