September 18
Volunteer Registration Now Open!
Special Olympics Vermont Fall Games Athletics (Track & Field) and Bocce events' final scores will be taken at your last regular season practice with your local program! Results will be sent to SOVT, and we will calculate divisions and awards statewide. Each program will have the opportunity to celebrate in person at the local level with SOVT Staff and ceremony. Please reach out to your local program coordinator/head of delegation for more information.

SOVT is following Special Olympics International’s (SOI) most recent guidance around returning to activity. Click here to view the SOI Return to Activities Protocol. As of August 13th, we are following the yellow column in the SOI Return to Activity Protocol, which means masks are required regardless of participants’ vaccination status, among other protocols outlined in the linked SOI document.
As many of you already know, return to activity requires paperwork! Please click here to visit the "Resources" page of our website. There you can find the Fall Return to Activity Checklists, printable documents, and online forms required for Athletes, Coaches, Unified Partners, and Volunteers. Just click on the tab that describes your affilitation with SOVT (ex. "For Athletes", "For Coaches"), click the top line that says "Fall Return to Activity Checklist", and then click the link provided.

Who
SOVT athletes across the state will compete for their delegations to earn medals in Athletics (Track & Field), Bocce & Golf!
What
Our 2021 Fall Games will feature Golf at Basin Harbor Golf Club in Vergennes, as well as Bocce and Track & Field competitions taking place at the local level.
Why
In an effort to reduce contact among competitors, we have moved Northern and Southern Fall Games competition to the local level, with results and awards remaining statewide (but virtual). After carefully considering many factors including social distancing abilities, Golf will remain at Basin Harbor Golf Club in Vergennes.
How
Please reach out to your local program coordinator/coach to learn more information, including when and where your local celebration will be! Not sure who your local program coordinator is? In the menu at the top of this webpage, hover over "Programs" and then click "Community Based Programs." There you will find our interactive website map, which outlines where SOVT has local community programs. Scroll down the page to "Find Yours!" Be sure to click where the red arrow points to, underneath where it says in red text, "Click here to filter programs". Then, check the "Community Programs" box. Look at the map and click on the red house icon in the area closest to where you live in order to find contact information for that delegation's local program coordinator.
