Triple Combine Fitness Challenge

The long awaited opportunity to earn a MEDAL is finally here! Fitness is an important part of being a Special Olympics athlete. Although we cannot compete in our traditional sports right now, we can compete to improve our fitness! Scroll down to view the scoring handbook and exercises.

About the Event

How it works

You will select 3 exercises from the list below to work on and measure for a score throughout the competition. The goal is to improve your score in each exercise. (The more you practice, the more you will improve!) You can find full instructions about how the scoring works for each individual exercise by viewing our how-to handbook:

You will submit your scores during the first week of the challenge, then during week 4 or 5 (halfway), and again at the end of the season (week 9 or 10). Medals will be awarded based on how much you improved your scores. We are working with the UVM Physical Therapy program to help you perform your best in this challenge. The physical therapy students will help you collect your scores via Zoom and give you tips on how to improve!

February 8th-19th - Baseline scores due: Submit your baseline scores here!

March 8th-19th - Midpoint scores due: Submit your midpoint scores here!

April 5th-16th - Final scores due

Triple Combine Fitness Challenge Exercises

Select 3 of the exercises below to compete in. You can choose exercises from the same or different categories. It is recommended to choose one from different categories. Most of the exercises are linked to video demonstrations of the respective exercise. If you choose to work with a UVM physical therapy student, they will give you personalized advice on proper form! You can also refer back to the how-to handbook for more information on how to perform and score each exercise.
